Aliikai Voyage

So we were really surprised when we arrived, didn't we? Unbelievable! We had no clue what to expect, the styling, the staff, everybody is so friendly.We have so much space, also the rooms, the lounge. Different spots to relax.

We had sunsets. The food was good, so I hope to be back soon. My favorite spot, I think ours was in front of the boat. We were kind of sitting there all the time having cocktails, red wine, special service.

That was beautiful. And, yesterday was a beautiful full moon. We just realized it was an eclipse, even. There were no other boats around. It was just us floating like the whole rest of the world was not non existing.

Especially when we are sailing, the silence, the quietness, the stillness here, the environment. It's so beautiful. And the color of the water, it's changing all the time. I've never seen something like this,and I've been in Asia for a long, long time. It's even more clear than the water in my shower or in my swimming pool. So, you don't need snorkeling equipment because you can just float around and you see the coral from the boat. It's amazing.

We've been on Aliikai now twice. The first time we came with all of our children, so we've got four kids in total, and we had the best time. It's amazing. It was really a great family experience. This time we came with just the four year old, so it was a little bit more calmer, but it's still been an incredible experience.

The staff are so amazing with all. The kids and with ourselves, and she remembered them. And the boat itself is just stunning. Like, the way it's just, you know, the fit out of the boat is incredible. All the cabins are stunning. It's so luxurious and really homely. It feels like a floating home, almost.

So, yeah, it's incredible experience. The food is amazing. Every single meal has been incredible, and they also cater a lot for the children as well, so, yeah, we just absolutely love this boat. So, even for us to be able to go into the local fishing villages and meeting the local people, the Togian islands has been really beautiful.

So my overall experience on the Aliikai boat was wonderful. I think there's some trips you take that are life changing and this was definitely one of them. I loved the experience of feeling like we were so remote, like completely off the grid, which was amazing. I really loved the team on board as well. They made you feel really welcome and we had kids. It was great for a family holiday, but equally one for coming with friends as well, because the boat is just so big and so luxurious.

There's so many places that you can go and have your own private time. So, I did, like, you know, yoga at sunset, and I was the only one up on the sun deck at sunset. We jumped off the bow of the boat, which was really beautiful. We went supping every day and the crew would set up whatever we wanted if we wanted. If we wanted to go kayaking over beautiful reef and see all the beautiful fish below us, diving, snorkeling, beach, picnics.

The cruise was great. All the staff, captain and Eko were great, very friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic, Chef did a fabulous job, although there was alot left over at each meal. Eko managed the tides and weather well, changed our plans a few times to accomodate these and that was all good. Remarkable that Eko was able to arrange for us to see 7 Komodo Dragons and 3 Manta !!
