Aliikai Voyage is a 131-foot (40m) luxury phinisi whose keel was laid in the boatbuilding village of Bulukumba, South Sulawesi, in 2005. Originally built in the centuries-old phinisi tradition, she was given a complete redesign and refit in 2019–2020, emerging with the comfort of a modern yacht and the soul of a traditional one, a transformation that has since earned her features in the Financial Times, Travel + Leisure and Harper’s Bazaar.
Accommodating up to 15 guests across seven cabins on three decks, she is defined by two master suites at the stern, each with its own private terrace and ocean views, an unusually generous layout that makes her especially well suited to families and groups. Cabins are dressed with curated Indonesian artefacts collected on previous voyages, while a dive centre, dedicated camera room and full water toy collection support every level of adventure.
What sets Aliikai apart is range of experience: an upper-deck lounge for sunrise yoga becomes an open-air cinema after dark, the crew of fourteen sets up beach massages on deserted sand, and children can become “Captain for a Day”, making her as rewarding for families as for divers across Komodo, Raja Ampat, Alor and the Banda Sea
